Brief and challenge
The brief
Christian Ekwensi creates social content for B2B and B2C brands. He needed a portfolio that worked as both a brand and a CV: showcasing his posts, carousels and reels, telling his career story, and making it easy for new clients to reach him. The project started with his logo, which I designed first.
The challenge
Content creator portfolios are crowded, and most look the same. Christian’s site had to feel as bold as the content he makes, handle fifteen projects, a work history and a full toolkit without becoming a wall of thumbnails, and carry a career story that runs from data centres to design.
Built like the feed it showcases.
Three decisions that shaped the build: what I chose, why, and what it replaced.
Let the logo set the shape language
Decision
The chamfered corners of the logo became the shape of every card, button, image and badge, with Big Shoulders Display and Archivo in a numbered 00 to 07 section system.
Why
One rule, taken from the mark, makes a content-heavy site feel like a single brand.
Constraint
The logo came first, so the site had to grow out of it.

Make fifteen projects easy to browse
Decision
A filterable work grid, by format and by B2B or B2C, with video playing inline.
Why
Visitors want to see work like theirs first, without wading through everything.
Instead of
One long grid of thumbnails.

Navigate like an app
Decision
A mobile-first, app-style dock for navigation.
Why
The work lives on social feeds, so most visitors arrive on a phone with app habits.
Constraint
Built as a custom WordPress theme Christian can keep updating.
